Manchester United and Rangers in another Battle of Britain for Champions League
In the Champions League draw which was just concluded, Manchester United and Rangers were paired together again in Group C of the group stages. These two teams will also face Valencia from Spain and first-timers Bursarspor of Turkey.
Premiership champions Chelsea will face Marseille, MSK Zilina from Slovakia and in an interesting twist, Spartak Moscow, from Russia in Group F. Tottenham Hotspurs who qualified virtue of the play-off win again Young Boys of Zurich were handed a trip to holders Inter Milan, Werder Bremen and FC Twente. Spurs unfortunately are in arguably the hardest group of all the Premiership challenges.
Arsenal were drawn into a relatively easy Group H with Ukranian champions Skhatar Donestsk, FC Braga from Portugal and Partizan Belgrade.
The matches will commence in September on the road to the finals which is to be held at Wembley Stadium.
